St. Croix Native to host 3-D Printing Workshops via Zoom

St. Croix native Arthur Young-Spivey will host 2 separate 3-D Printing workshops via Zoom on Thursday and Friday, March 25 and 26. The workshops will cover a range of options and technologies, including software for 3-D printing systems. The workshops are free to attend virtually.

Background: Arthur Young-Spivey is an Industrial Designer by trade and has worked within the tabletop, lighting, and furniture industry for over 30 years. He is also a pioneering leader in the digital fabrication technology space which leveraged some of today‚Äôs cutting edge manufacturing techniques. Having worked with clients within various sectors Including the automotive, aerospace, and architectural industry, Young-Spivey’s experience has helped to forge processes that have helped to streamline how companies transform their platforms into industry thought leaders.

As a native son of St.Croix, Young-Spivey has worked with many education institutions to help raise awareness of this technology to Sounders of all ages. Teaming up with VI EPSCORE/UVI in 2016 to visit 10 high schools in both St.Thomas and St.Croix students were shown what can be done and that their imaginations could be set free to design and create whatever interested them the most.
